The Marketplace Index™ analyzes more than 1,800 brands across 30+ of the top categories on Amazon in the US, UK, Mexico, and Australia. The report objectively measures effectiveness against a wide-array of criteria spanning content, retail, customer experience, and media.
In its second year, the report also offers a year-over-year analysis of the US and UK regions, showing how brands have moved in the rankings.

The data
The Marketplace Index™ analyzes more than 1,800 brands across 30+ categories in the US, UK, Mexico, and Australia and objectively measures effectiveness against criteria spanning content, retail operations, customer experience and media.
Each metric is weighted as not all have equal importance and impact. This is explained in detail on the methodology page.
Accuracy
All data was fielded in June 2024. Where a metric (eg. ad visibility) may fluctuate from day-to-day or be dependent on budget or competitive pressure, multiple days were checked. As Amazon (and the brands selling on Amazon) is ever-evolving, over time some data and observations may change. This report represents a moment in time for all brands analyzed.
About The Creators
Podean is the only top-tier Amazon marketing agency (AASP) with offices on five continents, and are the winner of Amazon Ads' 2023 Global Expansion Award. Working with over 200 of the world's leading brands, Podean's expertise spans all aspects of what it takes to win on Amazon. While many of Podean's clients were included in the rankings, there was zero favoritism given and not all feature toward the top of category charts.
When will it be updated?
Annually, around August of each year. We will be able to compare performance and shifts between periods to see who is improving, and who is declining.
